Lyrical

Offered to experienced students 10 years and older.

Students must be in their second consecutive year of ballet.

Lyrical combines the technical elements of ballet with jazz, contemporary, and modern. It is a passionate form of dance where dancers express deep personal feelings and emotions. It tells a story through fluid, smooth, and controlled movement.

Emphasis is placed on alignment, strength and posture, as well as performance skills and expression.

Appropriate dance attire includes black leotard and black footless tights. Black dance shorts are also permitted. Students should wear Dance Paws Unisex Dance Paws® (color: light nude). Hair should be pulled back in a ponytail.
