- Offered to children
currently 2 years old or will be 2 years old by November 1.
- The
class meets on Saturday mornings for 45 minutes. Children learn simple dance steps and do light tumbling. They
will learn how to participate with a group, take direction from a teacher figure, as well as how to take turns.
- This class gives young children the opportunity to interact
with other children their age and also begin taking directions from a teacher figure.
- They
use props such as tambourines, pom poms, stuffed animals, maracas, instruments, and a favorite of the children – the
tunnel, which they crawl through.
- Parents are allowed to observe right in the
classroom. Children are encouraged to participate in class, but are not forced to do so. For the child that is
apprehensive about participating, we encourage the parents to participate with them until they become more comfortable.
As each child develops differently, patience on the part of the parents, as well as the child is stressed.
- Tiny Tots may wear street clothes or dance attire, whichever they feel more comfortable
in.
- Tiny Tots do not perform their own dance routine
in our show. They are taught the finale at the end of the year and are invited to come on the stage to perform the finale
with the rest of the students of Tonawanda Dance Arts (a costume is not required).
- Our goal is to prepare the children to be more independent when they reach preschool age. Those children that
have completed our Tiny Tots program have proven to be less hesitant and well prepared for our preschool program the following
year.
CREATIVE COMBINATION WEEKS
Creative Combination classes are held right during your child’s weekly class.
Themed classes will include special music, creative movement and special props associated with each theme.

Students
may wear their Halloween costume to class.

PRINCE & PRINCESS WEEK
Students may wear anything prince or princess related to class.

HOLIDAY WEEK
Students
may wear any color dance clothing to class.

HIPPITY HOP WEEK
Student's
ballet/jazz portion of the class will be suplemented with simple hip hop steps.

PRINCE & PRINCESS WEEK
Students may wear anything prince or princess related to class.
|
|
|
|
SPRINGAPALOOZA WEEK
Students may wear any color dance clothing to class.
